Kohann est le nom breton de la hulotte. Les membres fondateurs sont Michèle Gaurin (chant), Sylvère Morisson (claviers) et David Bellec (guitare).
La particularité de ce groupe trip hop est la langue utilisée, le bas-Vannetais, un dialecte breton qui sert des mélodies raffinées.Le groupe s'est formé pour la première fois à Lorient en 1997. Après deux albums, un bon succès pour leur second album (Don, 20 000 exemplaires vendus) et plus de 150 concerts, le trio se sépare. Kohann revient en 2007 avec un nouvel album (Hypnotic) porté par Michèle Gaurin, dont le nom de scène est désormais Kohann.
