Robin Thicke , ou Robert Charles Thicke de son vrai nom, est un auteur, compositeur et producteur r'n'b né le 10 mars 1977 à Los Angeles. Fils de l'acteur, compositeur, scénariste et producteur canadien Alan Thicke .
Très jeune il trouve dans la musique un moyen d'expression en apprenant à jouer du piano. A 14 ans son talent lui permet de rejouer des morceaux après une simple écoute. 2 ans plutard il se jette dans une carrière de producteur en travaillant notemment pour Brandy ou encore Brian Mc Knight .Avec le temps il prend de l'ampleur et croule sous les disques d'or et de platine pour des artistes comme Mary J. Blige , Christina Aguilera et même Mickael Jackson .
En 2003 il préfère s'occuper de sa carrière de chanteur et sort A beautiful world avec les apparitions de Keyshia Cole , India Arie , mais aussi John Legend . La surprise vient alors lorsque Pharell Williams un fervent admirateur, le fait signer sur son label Star Trak Records où Robin signe un nouvel album The Evolution of Robin Thicke dont Wanna Love You Girl un titre à un franc succès est tiré.
